Sambazon Speaks on Acai Scam

March 31, 2009

Sambazon, a leader in the US acai market, posted material on their website in response to many of the questions consumers have sent their way regarding the acai scams making headlines.

A multi-million dollar business in the acai industry, Sambazon has made a clear statement that not only are they not involved with the acai scams but the activities of these companies also contradict Sambazon core values.

Sambazon spends hundreds of thousands of dollars in testing to ensure their products have the best quality of acai available, with integrity throughout the process. The acai claims of Sambazon are simply that through years of testing by accredited organizations in both the US and Brazil the acai berry continues to display a higher level of antioxidant capacity when compared to most fruits, including the blueberry and pomegranate (pure juice to pure juice and pure fruit to pure fruit). Other claims of quick weight loss or improved sexual performance are misleading consumers states Sambazon, and they encourage consumers to be cautious of any diet scams and suggest contacting the Better Business Bureau of any known scams.

Ryan Black, CEO of Sambazon indicated it was very unfortunate that scam business were tainting the public's understanding of the acai berry fruit's true benefits by making unfounded and at times extravagant claims. Sambazon has assisted Google and Yahoo in removing scam ads and will also work with MSN and Facebook. They also commented on the fact that some scam companies have also illegally used Sambazon images in their ads or marketing and have even directed users to a Sambazon owned URL, acai.com.

Sambazon continues to inform the public regarding legitimate Sambazon organic acai products, and the true nutrient levels of the acai berry and its realistic health benefits enjoyed by many worldwide.
