Oprah Takes Legal Action Regarding Acai Berry

Oprah Winfrey's website has posted a statement clarifying her association with the acai berry and any acai berry products. She states definitively that she does not endorse and she is not associated with any products, sold online or otherwise, representing the acai berry. She wants consumers to be aware of where she stands on the subject and her attorneys from Harpo Inc will be pursuing any companies making a suggestion of any affiliation.
The acai berry still remains listed on Oprah's website, under articles including, "Ten Superfoods for Age-Defying Beauty", according to Dr Perricone, and Dr Oz's "Anti Aging Checklist".
