The Real Deal campaign, which was launched by Sambazon on October 5, 2010, is designed to educate all consumers about the Acai fruit, also known as the Amazon Superfruit. One of the biggest problems currently with Acai is how much information is available for consumers to filter through, and not all of that information is always accurate. Too much information can create the problem of making it harder for consumers to sort through everything to find what they’re looking for. It also makes it more difficult for consumers to determine what is true and what is false.
Most consumers are aware of the numerous health benefits of taking Acai Berry, but with how many different products there are on the market it is often difficult to determine the best product to purchase. The lack of regulation on the product labels also makes it harder to pick out the right product because many manufacturers will make false claims about the product in hopes of getting your business. The Real Deal campaign sponsored by Sambazon, who just happens to be the leader in the Acai Market, is designed to educate the consumers, but also give them the tools that they need to compare the different products to find out what is true and what is not.
Most consumers in the United Sates are under the impression that they are buying the real Acai fruit, which is what the studies are based on. However, in the United States many manufacturers dilute the Acai juice with water, which may or may not appear on the label. Diluted Acai Berry juice is not going to provide consumers with the full extent of health benefits that pure Acai juice delivers. Sambazon’s goal is to help consumers find just what they are looking for, while also trying to set a standard for the Acai Berry industry.
